I was brought up and educated in Pontardawe, South Wales. As a child, I spent most of my time with my grandparents on their farm. These were very happy times: looking after the animals; collecting wild mushrooms with my grandmother; and walking the fields with my grandfather (no doubt being more of a hindrance than a help at harvest time!)
I am one of the lucky few whose work is also my hobby. The joy of being an artist is you are not stuck in a routine; I love to experiment with new techniques, and I love to share my experiences with people who want to learn to paint. I have people coming to my art workshop who say they have not painted since they were at school, nearly all of them leave with a painting they are please with, some have even framed them as they are so pleased with them.
